Karlo Francisco

When were you a cultivate intern?

I was one of the privileged interns during the first batch of Cultivate Asia Pacific Program in July 2018.

What is your current job?

I am currently the LUMO and Lead Today Program Field Coordinator at OneHope Philippines. During my internship, I worked at the Regional Director’s Office as an intern and was directly reporting to Rodel Lacson. I was so happy that I could get into OneHope. My experience as a former Campus Director and my passion for discipling have led me to this opportunity to be a part of OneHope today.

How is God working in your life today?

I believe that God is preparing me for bigger and deeper encounters with Him. I am really excited with everything that the Lord has in store for me. I am still in the process of leveling up my faith in Him, love for His people, and the skills He has given me. I am sure that He will keep amazing me with His works.

What is the best learning you will bring with you that you will apply in your future?

Decision making, time management, adaptability, and teamwork were the skills that I was able to develop during the internship. I got to make much bigger decisions than usual because of the confidence that the trainings had given me. I also learned to prioritize important tasks and adapt myself to any situation with lesser resistance. But, most of all, I got to know the real meaning and value of being a team player and how important teamwork is in reaching goals and succeeding. Cultivate Internship trainings and materials have really enhanced my overall character.

Is there a favorite passage from the Bible that resonates strongly with you?

Yes, I draw strength and confidence from Joshua 1:9. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
